Desjardins Completion Investments Fund

  Monthly Report

Investment Objective

The objective of the Desjardins Completion Investments Fund is to provide its unitholders with both income and long-term capital growth. To do so, portfolio managers invest mainly in fixed-income securities and income-oriented equity securities of issuers located throughout the world.

Investment Strategies
  • Weighting of each asset class in the portfolio based on market forecasts
  • Active management of bonds indexed to inflation
    • Strict management of the geographic allocation of securities
    • Strict management of the portfolio’s sensitivity to interest rate fluctuations
  • Active management of global real estate securities (companies and investment trusts) to identify the regions, countries, sectors, and corporations whose real estate fundamentals are undervalued or overvalued in relation to the market
  • Index portfolio management of infrastructure securities using a quantitative approach that analyzes world markets to provide returns similar to those of a recognized global infrastructure equity market index
  • Active management of global high-yield bonds to generate higher returns while reducing volatility. To achieve this, portfolio managers use a bottom-up approach to selecting securities that are listed below their true intrinsic value but exhibit good potential for improvement

What are the Main Risks of Investing in This Fund?

Risks are related to interest rates, foreign securities, currencies, class units, specialized markets, and income trusts.
